Gateway Pizza & Pasta — 79 dishes, two kitchens and a menu you can actually read
Gateway Pizza & Pasta runs two kitchens in Surrey, Newton and Guildford, open until midnight and 1 AM on weekends, serving a menu that only makes sense once you have eaten it: Paneer Tikka Pizza next to Veggie Lasagna next to Butter Chicken and biryani. The website was a dated template: a red ribbon menu, a hero of stock curry, 'Make people happy, have some fun and be number 1!', four location boxes (two of them closed), and menus as plain text lists. We built the brand on the GP emblem: Burgundy #64121C, Ivory #F5F0E8, Antique Gold #D5AE58, Cormorant Garamond for headlines and Inter for everything else. The homepage leads with 'Good food. Great company.', filters 79 dishes by craving with every size and price, explains the $27-per-person catering package with its selections and tray sizes, quotes the Google reviews, and puts both kitchens with phones and directions on one screen; a second page holds the full searchable menu. 'Call to order' opens a two-kitchen chooser. The emblem went onto the Google listing and a launch grid of six food posts.

The old site was a template from another decade: a black header with a red ribbon, a stock curry photo, 'Don't Cook tonight, Just Call US Now' in red, four blue boxes for locations including two that no longer exist, two tiny photos labelled Pizza and Curry, and every menu as a text list on its own page. No photos of the dishes, no catering explanation, no reviews, no hours on the homepage, and on a phone it was three screens of paragraphs before the first phone number.
Website concept as designed. Dishes, prices, locations, hours and the catering package come from the restaurant's current menus; the dish photographs are AI-generated concept images, not photos of the restaurant's actual servings. The Google rating and the two quotes come from the public listing. The catering form validates and shows a confirmation state only; connecting it to the kitchens is part of launch.
The website: Good food. Great company.
Ivory and burgundy, a serif that feels like a menu, food photography carrying every screen. Built for the two jobs the brief named: discover the food and call to order, with catering as the second conversion.
- Burgundy top bar with both phone numbers; ivory header with the GP emblem, live-text wordmark and a burgundy 'Call to order' that opens the two-kitchen chooser
- Hero: 'Good food. Great company.', one line, Call to order and Explore menu, the paneer tikka pizza and curry photograph
- Value band: pizza and Indian favourites, vegetarian options, two Surrey locations
- 'Find your next favourite': category chips (pizza, pasta, starters, biryani, curries, desserts) over dish cards with prices from the menu data; wing sauces switch the photo; 'View details' opens sizes and prices
- A full menu page: 79 dishes in seven categories with search, every size and price, notes like 'also by the piece' and 'ask for price', and the catering package with its selections
- Catering band: the full package from $27 per person (minimum 20) or individual trays for 10 to 100 guests, with 'Request catering' opening a validated form
- Google 4.0 on 2,643 reviews with two quotes; both kitchens with address, phone, Call and Get directions
- Mobile navigation drawer and the two-kitchen chooser on every call button
The hero: eyebrow, serif headline in burgundy, one line, two actions and the food photograph; the value band underneath.
Category chips over the featured dishes with prices from the menu data: Paneer Tikka Pizza, Veggie Lasagna, Hot Wings with sauce chips, Chicken Biryani and more.
The second page: search plus every category, each dish with its sizes and prices, from $8.00 cheese pizza to $23.00 large butter chicken.
The catering band: the trays photograph beside the package summary and the two catering actions.
Google 4.0 on 2,643 reviews with two quotes.
Newton and Guildford cards with address, phone, Call and Get directions, and the burgundy footer.
Brand: the GP emblem on burgundy
The restaurant had a gold GP monogram on a red field, printed on the storefront. We kept its lettering and ornament, set it on a deep burgundy, paired it with a live Cormorant 'Gateway' and a spaced 'Pizza & Pasta', and built the palette around it: Burgundy, Ivory, Antique Gold and Ink. The cover creative carries the emblem, the food and the three services.

Google Business Profile
With 2,643 reviews, the listing is the restaurant's busiest page. The concept puts the new cover and the emblem on it so the card matches the site people land on next.
The Google card with the new cover: 4.0 on 2,643 reviews, pizza delivery, and the same emblem as the site header.
Instagram: pizza night, curry calling
A launch grid where each post owns one craving: 'Pizza night', 'Layers of comfort', 'Curry calling', 'Wing it', 'Sweet finish', 'Feed the gathering'. The same serif, the same burgundy, food filling the frame.

AI automations: catering requests and call-backs while the kitchen is slammed
A pizza kitchen at 7 PM cannot take a catering enquiry for a wedding in October. The automation plan turns the catering form into an assistant that takes requests with the date, guest count and package, offers an order call-back when the line is busy, and forwards menu questions to the right kitchen.
- Catering assistant in the site: location, date, guest band, package or trays, with the $27 package and the 20-person minimum explained in the conversation
- Order call-back: pick the kitchen, leave a number, and the kitchen calls back to take the order when the line is busy
- Every request — form or chat — stored as a lead with a reference in the Lead Key portal and emailed to the restaurant with the full summary
- Instant text confirmation to the customer; the kitchen confirms the menu by phone
- Review requests after a catering job and a 'party season' reminder to past catering clients
- Missed-call text-back for both kitchens on Friday and Saturday nights
The catering request form is the entry point; the assistant collects the same fields in conversation and stores both as one lead type.
Every request carries the kitchen it belongs to, so Newton and Guildford only see their own.
With every dish, size and price in structured data, the assistant can answer 'how much is a large butter chicken' without a human.
Other businesses we built this for
Fitness & StudiosXtreme Fitness — a 30,000 sq ft gym that finally books classes online
Three floors, a boxing ring, a sauna and 459 Google reviews — sold online by a template with a serif headline, a cookie wall over the hero and no way to book anything. We rebuilt the site around the gym's new Xtreme Fitness Gyms identity: a dark hero card, club information at a glance, training reels, a bookable timetable, membership on the page, the real reviews, and a front-desk assistant that answers at midnight.
Auto ServicesXtreme Sheen — a ceramic coating shop that finally shows its prices and its work
A one-man detailing bay with 79 five-star reviews, graphene coatings that last nine years, and a black one-page 'click the box in the corner for pricing' website. We gave the shop a graphite identity with a silver mark and a site that lists every price, shows the work in the bay and takes quote requests.
Manufacturing & B2BMPL Incorporated — a 30-year electronics contract manufacturer with a website engineers can actually use
An ISO 9001 and ITAR-compliant assembler on Dutch Mill Road since 1991, with a website of stock-photo slideshows, a boxed 2010s layout and a 'Download quote form' button. We kept the navy MPL mark, built a steel-and-navy identity around it, and made an eight-page site where an engineer finds the six services, the quality process and a quote form in one visit.
